Abstract

The survey charts plenary votes in the Finnish Parliament between 1983 and 2014. Each vote contains the votes of the MPs and the number of nay and yea votes, blank votes and absents. The data comprises the number of the vote in the plenary session, and time, type, title, status, and background information of the vote. The number, date and starting time of the plenary session is also included.

Completeness of Data and Restrictions

In the variable bv2 "number of vote in plenary session" values 1900, 2000 ja 2600 refer to ballots. When two zeros are removed from the values, they denote the tie vote. The variable bv3 "time of vote" contains information since 1996.

Weighting

There are no weight variables in the data.
