Abstract

The data consist of transcriptions of 25 interviews conducted in Finland. The interviewees were young adults with serious mental disorders that had only started recently and who were participating in an outpatient rehabilitation programme. Main topics of the theme interviews were 1) life histories of the young participants - focusing particularly on where they had lived and contacts with the service system, 2) impact of their illness on their everyday life, people important to them, and their views on the rehabilitation programme and 3) expectations of and plans for the future, and what other people seemed to expect of them.

Background variables included the respondent's gender, age, and the number of the rehabilitation programme. The interviews lasted from half-an-hour to one hour and took place towards the end of the rehabilitation period. The data have been anonymised.

The dataset is only available in Finnish.
