Abstract

The data comprise the accounts of parents of deafblind children about life with a child who has a sensory impairment. The interviews were collected for a book as part of a project conducted by the Federation of Hard of Hearing, funded by Finland's Slot Machine Association. The parents told about, for instance, significant events in their life, the birth of their deafblind child, the child's growth and development, services received, problems faced, and future prospects.
