Abstract
The survey studied the attitudes of the Finns towards different political parties. The respondents were asked how favourably or negatively they viewed the Centre Party of Finland, the Finnish Social Democratic Party, the National Coalition Party, the Left Alliance and the Green League. Views on government and opposition performance were evaluated. The respondents assessed the significance of party leaders and other opinion leaders to the parties. Voting behaviour was studied by asking how tempting it would be for the respondents to vote for different parties, what parties they might vote for and if the elections were held now, how would they vote. In addition, the respondents were asked whether they took care of everyday shopping or cooking in the household.
Background variables included the respondent's year of birth, marital status, household annual gross income, place of residence, occupational group, line of work, trade union membership, and mother tongue.
