Abstract
In the survey, citizens' views on, for instance, Finnish neutrality policy and the country's foreign policy were probed. The respondents were asked to state their personal opinions on basic defence policy strategies, armed civil defence, as well as on the funding of the Finnish Defence Forces. Attitudes towards organising popular referenda, the financial situation of Finland and the Finns, following politics and news, the European Union, and phenomena influencing the security of Finland and the Finnish citizens were also monitored.
Background variables included the respondent's sex, age group, social group, education, as well as the place and area of residence.
