Abstract
In the survey, Finnish citizens' views on, for instance, the administration of foreign policy and the meaning of neutrality were probed. The respondents were asked to state their personal opinions on military alliances, stand-by forces, military civil defence, basic defence policy strategies, as well as on the funding of the Finnish Defence Forces. Opinions on the impact of EU membership on Finland's development were also monitored. In addition, the respondents were asked to assess phenomena influencing the security of Finland and Finnish citizens.
Background variables included the respondent's sex, age group, social group, education, and the place and area of residence.
