Abstract

The data consist of media diaries of Finnish citizens on 29 November 2001. The participants were asked, for instance, what they had watched, listened to or read on that day. Requests for media diaries were broadcasted on public broadcaster YLE's television and radio channels, text television, and published in 30 Finnish newspapers. The goal was to find out what kind of a role various media played in the research participants' lives, whether media content aroused discussion at home or at work, and whether media use is a private or social experience. The data comprise 751 diaries.

The dataset is only available in Finnish.
