Abstract
The archived data consist of 81 texts written in Finnish for a writing competition titled 'Opiskelijan elämää 2004 [Student Life 2004]'. The competition was announced on websites targeted at students of universities and universities of applied sciences in Finland. Students were asked to write about their everyday life and the importance of studying for them. The competition was conducted by the Finnish Youth Research Society and the Student Research Foundation Otus.
The texts covered student life, well-being, use of student welfare services, study experiences, motivation, graduation, selecting a place of study, and leisure time. Some participants had already graduated, but most were students.
The dataset is only available in Finnish.
