Abstract

The data comprise 44 interviews of professors from different disciplines in nine universities located in Southern and Central Finland. Five of these universities were multidisciplinary, two were universities of technology and two were business schools. For the most part, two professors from each discipline in different universities were interviewed.

The aim of the interviews was to chart publishing practices in different disciplines and the factors affecting these practices. The interviewees were requested to tell about the features of and working practices in their discipline. Further questions were asked about the interviewees' research career, the most significant forms of publishing in the discipline, co-publishing, and the factors affecting the quality of publications. The interviewees discussed the changes in the publishing practices in their discipline and estimated the amount of work required in different forms of publishing.

The dataset is only available in Finnish.
