Abstract

This qualitative dataset contains the transcriptions of nine interviews of career coaches working in Finland. The interviews covered different aspects of work-related coaching work, its practices, goals, themes and types of clients. Other topics included what was considered as success in coaching, how the client's gender and individuality were taken into account, the concept of self-promotion, and future development of coaching work in general. The data have been anonymised though some interviewees chose to disclose their organization. Background information included the interviewee's gender and date and duration of interview.

The dataset is only available in Finnish.

Completeness of Data and Restrictions

Identifiers referring to clients and other interviewees were removed from all transcripts. If an interviewee allowed archiving the interview with remaining identifiers intact, only the interviewee's name was further removed. If the an interviewee did not allow archiving with identifiers, also any other identifying information referring to the interviewee was removed.

Altogether 17 interviews were conducted but consent for archiving was not obtained from all interviewees.
