Abstract

This dataset consists of responses by Finnish candidates in the 2014 European Parliament election to a voting advice application maintained by the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat. The candidates were presented with thirty attitudinal statements which they evaluated on a five-point Likert scale. These statements concerned, for instance, EU membership and the Union's usefulness for Finland, immigration, economy, and values.

Background variables included party, age and education.
