Abstract
The survey charted Finnish small festival visitors' overall experiences of the festivals. Additionally, the study surveyed how the festival organiser's value-based decision-making affected the visitors' experience. The small Finnish music festivals examined in the study included Ilmiö, Kuudes Aisti, Naamat, Pienet Festarit Preerialla and Ämyrock.
First, questions concerning the reasons why the respondent visited the small festival, for example, interest in the theme of the festival, the good image of the festival, continuing a tradition of visiting the festival, and just wanting to have fun, were presented. The respondents' opinions on different aspects relating to the small festival they had visited, such as security, queuing, locality of the provided services and food and the use of sponsors, were surveyed next. The respondents were also asked how important several values were for them personally (e.g. power, pleasure, benevolence and tradition). Finally, the respondents' overall satisfaction in the festival was surveyed, and they were asked whether they thought they would attend the event in the future or recommend it to others.
Background variables included the respondent's gender, year of birth, country of citizenship and level of education.

Sampling Procedure
Non-probability: Availability
The festivals examined in the study shared a link to the online questionnaire on Facebook, and the festival visitors who saw the link decided whether they wanted to participate in the study. The survey also included the Turun musiikkijuhlat (n=1) and Naantalin musiikkijuhlat (n=10) events, but because of the small amount of responses, they were not included in the data.
Collection Mode
Self-administered questionnaire: Web-based (CAWI)

Completeness of Data and Restrictions
To prevent identification of respondents, open-ended variables q6_5_1, q7_24_1 and q12_1 were removed from the data. The variable denoting the respondent's municipality of residence was removed before the data was delivered to FSD. The open-ended responses that remain in the data have been anonymised by removing possible identifiers, such as responses in Swedish, specific references to municipalities, and references to third persons. Changes made at FSD are marked with [square brackets].
Weighting
There are no weight variables in the data. The attendance of the festivals in 2013 can be used to weight the data.
