Abstract
This dataset contains writings on sustainable development, obtained through a Finnish Literature Society (SKS) writing competition.
In the invitation to write, the participants were asked to describe their thoughts on sustainable development and how sustainability was visible in their life and the lives of people close to them. Additionally, they were asked to describe their own choices regarding sustainability and the reasons behind those choices, as well as what kinds of choices they would be ready to make to support sustainable development and what kinds of choices would feel impossible.
The invitation to write suggested several different viewpoints that the writers could adopt in writing their texts. The viewpoints included, for example, their habits as a consumer, nourishment, travel, and technology.
Background information included the participant's name or pseudonym, occupation, date of birth, area of residence and gender. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD.
The dataset is only available in Finnish.
