Abstract
The data consists of writings in which respondents describe their experiences of using incontinence guards, or adult incontinence pads. Respondents' experiences of using incontinence guards relate either to their own use or to helping others.
In the writing call respondents were asked to write an autobiographical story or stories about their experiences of using adult incontinenc pads. The respondents were asked to write a story about their life with adult pads from the perspective they wanted. Respondents could write a story about one event, one day, or describe a longer period of time.
Respondents were given a number of help questions to facilitate their writing. These included questions about the challenges of using adult incontinence pads and any innovative solutions the respondent may have developed to make everyday life with pads smoother. In addition, the help questions asked about the possible impact of adult incontinence pad use on work, hobbies, relationships or personal finances, for example. It was also asked whether the respondents felt they had received enough support and information about incontinence management and related treatments.
The background information asked included age, gender. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD.
