Abstract
The dataset consists of interviews that were part of a self-evaluation conducted by the secretariat for the National Open Science and Research Coordination. The Federation of Finnish Learned Societies and the expert bodies hosted by it, members of the National Open Science and Research Coordination's expert panels, steering group and working groups, and the Ministry of Education and Culture, which funds the National Open Science and Research Coordination, participated in the self-evaluation.
The interviews were recorded and conducted on Zoom. The interviews were semis-structured in nature, meaning that the same interview structure that had been prepared in advance was used as the basis for each interview, but each interview was allowed to proceed according to the responses of the interviewee. The interviews included questions on, for example, how coordination has affected the activities of the interviewee or their organisation, and what indicators of success the interviewee has observed in their own work. The interviewees were also asked to consider the advantages and disadvantages of the current mode of operation, as well as how coordination based on co-development and co-operation within the research community could be developed.
Background information included the date of the interview, the name of the interviewer, the duration of the interview, and the relationship between the interviewer and the interviewee. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD.
The dataset is only available in Finnish.
