Abstract
The dataset consists of interviews with young people aged 15-20 living in mainland Finland on their alcohol use. The interviewees' daily lives and schooling were investigared by asking about their typical weekdays and weekends. The interview topics also included the interviewees' interests and hobbies. The interviewees were asked how their alcohol consumption related or didn't relate to their daily lives and to parties. Additionally, the interviewees were asked whether their parents had intervened, through guidance or otherwise, with the interviewee's potential alcohol use. The use of different media (e.g. podcasts, YouTube, streaming services, TV, social media) was charted. The interviews also included questions on the importance of social media in general and in particular in relation to meeting new people and dating partners.
Background information included the interviewee's age group, gender, alcohol use, and type of school (upper secondary school or other). The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD.
The dataset is only available in Finnish.
