Abstract
The survey explores Finnish citizens' opinions and views on the 2022 county elections and related themes. The data was collected as part of the Citizen Opinion Panel, which is part of The Finnish Research Infrastructure for Public Opinion (FIRIPO).
The survey began by focusing on questions related to the county elections. First, respondents were asked about their voting behavior, i.e., whether they intended to vote in the county elections, in advance or on election day, and for which party they would vote. This was followed by questions about the respondents' views on the effectiveness of the measures implemented in Finland to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Finally, the respondents' opinions were sought on how well different parties had succeeded in their COVID-19 measures.
The background variables included are the respondent's age, gender, native language, education, occupational status, political interest, political party preference, whether the respondent has children and region.
