Abstract
This qualitative dataset consists of interviews with social workers in the public sector working as first-line managers at their organisation.
Interview themes included management of social work, workplace well-being, and management for change. Individual questions examined, for instance, challenges and requirements posed by management as well as the best parts of management work and the opportunities it provides. Interviewees were asked to define workplace well-being and discuss its role in social work. Management for change was examined by asking, for example, what changes the interviewee's work community had seen within the previous two years. Interviewees were also asked to describe the relationship between workplace well-being and management for change.
Background information included educational background and occupation.
The dataset is only available in Finnish.
