Abstract

The data consists of interviews with the creators of the Narratives of Finland exhibition at the National Museum of Finland. The data was collected as part of a study that examined how images of Finnishness have been constructed in official and unofficial historical culture.

The interviews explore the perspectives of the creators of the Finnish National Museum's Narratives of Finland exhibition on the content of the exhibition. The interviews started with a description of the exhibition project, its starting points and objectives. The interviewees were also asked for example about possible challenges in creating the exhibition and about the use of research findings in the making of the exhibition. At the end of the interviews, the interviewees were also asked for their opinion on the most important role of the National Museum of Finland and the direction in which they would like to see it develop.

Background information includes the date of the interview and the job title of the interviewee. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD.
