Abstract
The data consists of interviews with visitors to the Narratives of Finland exhibition at the National Museum of Finland. The data was collected as part of a study that examined how images of Finnishness have been constructed in official and unofficial historical culture. The interviewees were both residents of Finland and foreign tourists.
The interviews explored visitors' experiences of the exhibition. The interviews asked, for example, whether the interviewee felt nostalgia, pride or gratitude, or alternatively guilt, discomfort or sadness. They were also asked whether the interviewee felt that the exhibition was truthful, and whether the interviewee felt that the exhibition contained a moral or political message.
Interviewees were not asked for background information. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD.
