Children's Rights
Description
The data in the Children's Rights series focuses on the knowledge of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child among Finns aged 15-79. The first data archived at FSD are from 2008-2010, when the Ministry of Education and Culture was the producer. Since 2017, the Central Union for Child Welfare has been responsible for the production of the data. The data were collected through personal interviews in the Omnibus surveys conducted by Taloustutkimus.
The surveys collect information on how well known the content of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) is. The survey also explores opinions on the implementation of consultation and participation of children and young people in Finland. The 2017 data also includes a question on the awareness of the Central Union for Child Welfare.
