The series contains data suitable for qualitative and quantitative research. Data were collected from staff and clients at A-clinics and other institutions treating people with substance abuse problems.

Main topics included substance use background of clients and their experiences of substance abuse treatment, staff background, their career choice, treatment methods used etc. The FSD collections cover data from 1987 to 2014.
