The data consists of interviews in which classroom teachers tell about their experiences of the school year 2021-2022 and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on teaching. The data is a follow-up to FSD3733 Classroom Teachers' Experiences of Distance Teaching 2020 and FSD3947 Class Teachers' Experiences of COVID-19 Pandemic 2021 datasets. The respondents are primary school teachers, and the numbering of the interviewees is consistent with FSD3733 and FSD3947 datasets.
First, interviewees were asked to talk in general about the school year 2021-2022 and how they have felt at work and how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected their work. Next, they were asked about their professional identity, asking questions such as how the pandemic has changed them as a teacher and whether they think differently about their work. In addition, they were asked how the pandemic has changed the way society and the media view teachers. This was followed by questions about what advice they would give themselves or other teachers in the early stages of the pandemic in spring 2020. Finally, questions were asked about preparedness for possible future disruptions.
Background information includes the gender of the interviewee and the class being taught.
