The survey examined social work employees' views on the effectiveness of their work, the utilisation of research skills, and the assessment of quality in social welfare. The data were collected as part of the SULAVA project, which studied the quality and effectiveness of social welfare in the Inland Finland collaborative area in 2024-2025.

First, respondents were asked how often they assess the effectiveness of their client work themselves and how often such assessments are conducted by their organisation or by an external party. The survey also examined whether the respondent's organisation provides guidelines and allocated working time for effectiveness assessment. Respondents were further asked about their documentation practices and whether they had received training in documentation or effectiveness assessment. In addition, the survey charted respondents' preferences and needs regarding training content.

Next, respondents assessed their own research skills and how they use them in their work. They also evaluated the role of legislation as well as organisational guidelines and practices in supporting high-quality social work. Finally, the survey explored which challenges are most significant in clients' lives and in social work in general. Respondents were also asked to name the factors that best support positive change in clients' life situations.

Background variables include the respondent's education, year of graduation, years worked in the current unit, total work experience in years, and the wellbeing services county and service area in which the respondent is employed.
