Sisällön kuvaus

The data cover the experiences of Finnish primary and occupational health care staff with patients in need of work ability support and work ability support services. The data consists of eight initial interviews and five final interviews with doctors and nurses. Some interviewees participated in both the initial and final interviews. The data was collected as part of the TYKYTUO (Supporting work ability for longer careers and productivity - Models of action for multiprofessional cooperation) project, which is managed by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.

The interview transcripts cover patient referrals for follow-up, staff attitudes, referral practices, the development of the work ability support service pathway, and cooperation between primary care and occupational health care. First, the interviewees were asked how work disability and the risk of it is perceived in primary health care and in their own work. For example, they were asked whether they had seen patients using primary care and occupational health care services in combination or treating the same condition in several places at the same time. Next, they were asked about follow-up practices and existing services. Interviewees were asked about the functioning of work ability support services and their development. Finally, information was sought on intersectoral cooperation on work ability issues. Interviewees were asked about who is responsible for identifying the need for work ability support and for patient counselling. The Kanta Service and information exchange were also discussed.

Background information included the interview date, interview situation, interviewee's gender, and occupation. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD.
